Michelin star for Ootmarsum!

Michelin stars for restaurants are a well-known phenomenon. Less well-known, but certainly no less coveted, is that Michelin also awards stars for its travel guides in the Netherlands and Belgium to well-known and popular tourist destinations and attractions in these countries. Ootmarsum has the honor of being the first place in Twente to receive a Michelin star for tourism.

Visit Ootmarsum-Dinkelland and the municipality of Dinkelland are not only surprised by this, but naturally also delighted. Such a Michelin star gives the town and municipality added tourist allure and prestige, which undoubtedly also benefits tourism.

Mayor John Joosten will award this star to Michelin on behalf of the mayor and the municipality of Ootmarsum. This will take place during a festive ceremony on Good Friday, April 18th, at Kerkplein. The mayor will present the Michelin star to Dagmar Boerrigter, director of Visit Ootmarsum-Dinkelland (formerly VVV).
